The island of Senja is about a three hours’ car drive south of Tromsö, right between Norway’s two most renowned ski touring regions, Lyngen and the Lofotes.

The scenic characteristics of this ski touring destination can be seen right in the middle: the mountain formations are very diverse, reflecting the variety of Norway’s Arctic landscape.

Senja is still almost unknown among ski tourers as, until recently, there were virtually no suitable infrastructure or accommodation options.

With the Hamn i Senja, we’ve found the perfect holiday resort and ideal starting point to explore the ski tours on the island of Senja in comfort!

Travel to Senja Day 1

Getting to Hamn, Senja. Our meeting point is Tromsø Airport. From there we continue by car for about three hours to our accommodation, the Hamn i Senja hotel.
Skitouring Day 2 -6

Depending on the weather and snow conditions—and, of course, tailored to the group—we put together the tour program.

We reach our objectives with drive times between five minutes and one hour. Because conditions can vary greatly even within small areas, we stay flexible and decide on the day’s destination at breakfast after a careful analysis of the weather forecasts.
Return to Tromsø Day 7

After our ski tour, we’ll head back to Tromsø, where we’ll spend the final night at a hotel in the city center. If we arrive in Tromsø in the afternoon, we’ll still have time to visit the Polar Museum or Polaria.

At the Hamn i Senja hotel, we stay in comfortable apartments. Two bedrooms share a spacious living room with a wonderful view of the harbor.
