Henningsvær
Der Hafen in Henningsvær
Every spring we’re drawn to the Lofoten Islands—and every time we’re captivated by their beauty. This archipelago far north of the Arctic Circle uniquely combines rugged mountain peaks, deep-blue fjords, and the endless light of the North.
Here we ascend over gentle spring-corn slopes or through steep couloirs to summits that rise straight out of the sea. From the top, the view stretches across a backdrop of rock, snow, and water found nowhere else—a blend of Arctic wildness and maritime ease. Every descent runs through untouched snow, often with the sound of surf in your ears.
The variety of tours is astonishing: from relaxed, pleasure-oriented outings with panoramic descents to alpine summits with a demanding character. And the best part: even if the weather turns, the wealth of options means we always find rewarding objectives—the mountains here show their finest side in every mood.
Our cozy base is in the fishing village of Henningsvær. From here we set out for the best tours—reaching the area’s finest objectives with approach times of 10 to 45 minutes. This flexibility lets us make the most of the prevailing conditions each day. In the afternoons we return to enjoy the atmosphere in Henningsvær or nearby Svolvær—and perhaps the northern lights will even dance across the evening sky.
