Skitouring in Lyngen, Norway

from
0,00

Since 2012 we have been traveling the Lyngen peninsula. The ski touring weeks in the northern part of Norway are an absolute highlight each year.

From wide slopes, soft, rolling landscapes, to deep gorges and glacier tongues with high-alpine character, the mountains surrounding Lyngenfjord and along the peninsula present some of the most scenic ski touring opportunities. The view over the dark blue fjords and the endless unusual mountain scenery make ski touring a one-of-a-kind experience you will long remember.

A wide selection of tours ensures excellent touring options even in difficult or changing conditions for several weeks. Our base, the Magic Mountain Lodge in Lyngseidet is the perfect starting point. From there, the tours can be reached after a short drive or directly by ferry transfer. Traveling by car makes it easier to stay flexible and choose from a variety of touring terrain.

Please note our Terms & Conditions!

  1. Arrive to Lyngen Day 1

Your Guide picks you up at Tromsø Airport.. From there we head straight to our base. We reach the Magic Mountain Lodge in Lyngseidet after about a 2-hour drive.

  2. Skitouring in Lyngen Day 2-7

Ski touring on the Lyngen Peninsula and the surrounding mountains:
Depending on the weather and snow conditions—and, of course, tailored to the group—we put together the tour program. We reach our objectives with travel times between five minutes and one hour. Because conditions can vary greatly even over small areas, we stay flexible and set the day’s destination at breakfast after a careful analysis of the weather forecasts. In particularly good and stable weather, we have the option, for a small additional fee, to use a boat for the approach. This opens up new and remote touring options.

  3. Return to Tromsø Day 8

After breakfast we leave Lyngseidet and your Guide brings you back to Tromsø.
